Grow the Good Stuff: Seed Savers KC Seed Exchange

Here’s an event you won’t want to miss! Saturday, January 17 from 11 to 2 at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center, Seed Savers KC is hosting their 3rd Annual Seed Exchange. Items featured in this event include organic, heirloom, non-GMO vegetable, herb, and flower seeds, starter plants, shrubs, vines, bulbs, fermentation starters like kombucha, kefir grains, food grade essential oils, skin products, soaps, free range eggs, honey, bread starters, seed jewelry, and much more.

There is no set cost to attend; organizers ask you to donate what you can. Attendees are encouraged to “bring a little, take a little, bring a lot, take a lot.” Items brought to share must be packaged, labeled, and dated. Not only can you give and get, but you can also learn about seed saving practices that promote organic biodiversity in your community, yard, and home.
