Food may be the way to a man’s heart, but it also invariably leads to a city’s soul. Taste of Kansas City Food Tours has been guiding avid local food enthusiasts off the beaten path in pursuit of Kansas City’s culinary heartbeat for the past two years.

Being a food lover and a supporter of all things local, offering walking culinary tours was a natural fit for Rebekah Dykstra, the company’s founder. “I’m passionate about promoting Kansas City. If you venture a few blocks off the Plaza and Power & Light, you’ll find rich multicultural culinary destinations.”

Currently two walking tours are offered – one in the Crossroads Arts District and the other in the historic Wesport neighborhood. Both tours include multiple stops for “mini-meals” and are full of colorful tales about the personality of each place.

Don’t feel up to a stroll? Progressive Dinners include the Kansas City Dining Experience and the Blues, Booze & BBQ Tour both featuring point-to-point transportation in a private 14-passenger bus.

Tours range in price from $50 to $80. Gift certificates and private parties are available.
