Coming through the warmth of the holidays into the chilling days of January can cause anyone to shiver! However, there is one recipe that has always brought warmth to ward away the chill; Lasagna! Not just because it is a comfort food, but because recipes that are shared and passed down from others also warm the heart. This original recipe came from one of my dearest friends, Linda Norfleet, and was passed down to her from her Aunt Carol.

I have enjoyed this recipe for 20 years. Every time I make it, I am warmed by the love of my life-long friend and her family. Favorite relatives and loving friends, who teach the love of cooking and share recipes, are true glowing embers of fire that spark our soul.

With the warm glow of this dish in your oven, let a celebration ensue for those of us that are able to ring the New Year, Happy and Healthy!
